LCSW Supervision
Are you seeking to advance to the next level in your social work career? Do you seek a clinical social work license? In trusting me to be your clinical social work supervisor, you can rest assure you will become fully competent as a LCSW!
I provide a consultation to help decide if we are a good fit to work together. The fee for an hour consultation is $75.00. In this consultation, you will learn my style of teaching, an understanding of the full pathway to your clinical license, discuss frequency and duration of meetings, and assistance with ensuring your documents are correctly filled out before submission to the State of Texas.
I follow the guidelines set by the State of Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council/Social Work Board.
- I meet with LMSW’s for 4 hours per month, this can be two hours each session or one hour per week.
- I offer a two-hour group sessions four times per month
- LMSW’s are expected to meet with their supervisor for 100 total hours in no less than 24 months and no longer than 48 months.
- LMSW’s will need 3,000 total work hours for submission of their final paperwork to the board to be eligible to sit for the licensing exam.
Qualifying Employment?
In the last few updates, the board has determined that clinical field supervisors will regulate if the LMSW’s current employer qualifies for “professional clinical experience.” In all aspects of clinical social work, a competent LCSW will need to know how to effectively assess, diagnose and treat mental health using the DSM-V criteria. During your consultation, you and I will discuss your pathway to maintain or assume qualifying employment

Group
- Discuss live scenarios
- Read and discuss the DSM V
- discuss and provide insight on different modalities, treatment approaches, and medications
- Read and discuss articles reference different treatment approaches
- Discuss Ethics and how to apply them in practical situations
- Discuss cases and problematic/ethical issues
- Provide feedback for all questions and concerns reference clinical supervision
- Provide networking events to help support one another as peers within the social work community.
Individual
- Individually meet to discuss live scenarios
- Read and discuss the DSM V
- discuss and provide insight on different modalities, treatment approaches, and medications
- Read and discuss articles reference different treatment approaches
- Present cases and ethical dilemmas to discuss best practice and ethical expectations
Getting started
- Complete the referral request via my website or you can email or call me.
- At consultation we will meet, discuss supervision expectations, step by step pathway to your LCSW, and discuss your supervision goals.
- In the initial session (group or individual), I will provide you with a supervision binder with my supervision policy, expectations, and purpose of supervision. I will then sign the required forms for you to submit to the State of Texas.
- Group rate for supervision is $140 for each 2-hour session.
- Individual Rate: $75 for each 1-hour session. $ 300 monthly

Expected hours to conduct LCSW Supervision are currently, Tuesdays and Wednesdays 5:30-7:30 or Saturdays 1pm- 3pm. These hours could change, based on need and the volume of applicants seeking supervision.
